Tamara Hodges, EdD, LP, LSP

Tamara Hodges, EdD, is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Educational Psychology and a faculty affiliate of the Baylor Center for Disability and Flourishing. Dr. Hodges received her BS in general education/special education from Oral Roberts University. She received her master’s degree and EdD from Baylor University in Educational Psychology.

Dr. Hodges’ areas of teaching include graduate courses in psychopathology, counseling, therapeutic interventions, social-emotional assessment, and the psychology of learning. She co-coordinates a grant from AT&T that addresses transition from high school to post-secondary education and is also on a team that is collaborating with Waco Independent School District, the WISD-Baylor Partnership, Campus-Based Family Services.

Dr. Hodges has been recognized for her teaching by being nominated for several awards. In 2016, she received Baylor’s Outstanding Professor Award in the non-tenure faculty category and was nominated for the National Association of School Psychologists teaching award.

Her primary scholarly interests are in the areas of classroom management, behavior and therapeutic interventions. She is a member of the National Association of School Psychology and Texas Association of School Psychology. Dr. Hodges presents at numerous professional conferences and enjoys mentoring students.
