Baylor School Psychology EdS Curriculum
The School Psychology EdS program equips students with essential skills for a successful career in the field. Our comprehensive curriculum includes courses on:
- Conducting psychological and academic assessments
- Delivering therapeutic interventions
- Consulting with parents and teachers
- Providing culturally responsive services
Course Delivery
The EdS Dallas campus employs a hybrid model of instruction, combining in-person, synchronous, asynchronous, and staggered hybrid courses. In-person classes are at the Dallas Campus in the Louise Herrington School of Nursing Academic Building.
The EdS Waco campus follows a traditional in-person model of instruction, where most courses are taught in a face-to-face format. EDP 5382 and EDP 5382, Internship courses taken in your third and final year, are typically taught online due to students completing their Internships nationwide.
Practicum and Internship Coursework
Practicum and Internship placements occur in school settings. The practicum (EDP 5V78) is a part-time field experience intentionally designed to be integrated with your academic coursework. In contrast, during the Internship year, students are enrolled in two dedicated internship (EDP 5382 and EDP 5383) courses with no additional academic coursework.

"I feel that my experience in the assessment courses as a whole (this includes writing eligibility reports based on data we have personally collected, administering assessments, and researching assessments) has made me significantly more confident in my competence and compatibility with this career, in no small part due to Dr. Klose's guidance and course design. The EdS courses are intentionally designed to make us honestly prepared for our careers."
